Formed in 2021 and based in Montana’s Gallatin Valley, North Fork Crossing is a five-piece band pushing the boundaries of traditional string music. With Cade Slayden (guitar), Ryan Kelly (mandolin), Rabi Phelan (upright bass), Silas Rea (fiddle), and Matt Hickey (banjo), the group delivers a genre-bending mix of bluegrass, jam band vibes, psychedelic rock, and Americana. Their goal: to bring bluegrass to a new generation with a sound that's rooted, yet always evolving. They've built a loyal following across Montana and beyond, touring through Idaho, Utah, and Colorado. Their debut studio album, North Fork Crossing (2024), captures the spirit of their live shows with a mix of original fiddle tunes, driving instrumentals, and reflective ballads.
